The Fitbit Charge 3 Is UNDER £100 In The Prime Day Sale!

Here’s something we weren’t expecting – Fitbit’s excellent Charge 3 fitness band being included in a sale this year, but here it is, reduced by 26% to £95.99 in Amazon’s Prime Day sale. The update to the best selling Charge 2 was only released in spring of 2019 and it took its predecessor much longer to dip under the £100 mark. When it did it flew off the shelves as that was a grade-A bargain.

Fitbit didn’t mess with the winning formula when it designed the Charge 3, refining the look and feel, as well as adding more smart features and swim tracking. That’s on top of connected GPS, which allows the Charge 3 to more accurately track your runs and bike rides when you bring your phone along. It also has 24/7 heart rate monitoring which unlocks Fitbit’s best features – more accurate and in-depth sleep tracking, and a cardio fitness score which compares what is essentially your VO2max with people of the same age range and sex as you, and suggests ways in which you can improve your cardiovascular health. The Charge 3 is a great choice for people who are interested in their general fitness and like to stay active in multiple ways – in the gym and the pool, and at their local parkrun.

We doubt you’ll find a better deal in this year’s Prime Day sale, Amazon’s annual multi-day discount-fest. Some may want to upgrade to Fitbit’s Versa Lite, which is a halfway house between the Charge 3 and the Versa smartwatch, but you’ll have to cross the three-figure rubicon for that. If you’re only focussed on running then the Garmin Forerunner 35, selling for a mere £80, will serve your needs better, but you’re getting a device that’s had a recent update in the Forerunner 45 rather than being the latest model like the Charge 3.

Two colourways of the Charge 3 – rose-gold/berry and, our favourite, rose-gold/grey – have been reduced, and the special edition has also been reduced from £149.99 to £109. The special edition adds the capability to make NFC (contactless) payments with Fitbit Pay, and is available in a sporty white/graphite design or in a more stylish woven lavender strap and rose-gold body. Don’t delay though, the black/graphite colourway was included in the deal first thing on Monday, but has gone back up to £118.
