Travis Scott Says Watching Kylie Jenner Give Birth Was 'Really Scary'

Having the privilege of watching someone give birth is essentially being witness to the miracle of life, and it can be a beautiful, magical moment. But, as Travis Scott found out while watching Kylie Jenner deliver their baby in February, some parts of the birth experience are overwhelming and others are just plain weird.

As Scott explained in a new interview with Ellen Degeneres, being in the delivery room was an experience that filled him with awe—and a bit of terror.

At first, he was a little anxious about what would take place in the room. "It was so scary, this was my first delivery room," he said. But Kylie's mom, Kris Jenner (or, as Scott calls her, "Mama KJ"), was there to guide him through what was happening and keep him calm. "She was walking me through the whole process," he explained, "like this thing called the placenta that I've been hearing about, oh my God, I was fearful of that."

But, ultimately, Scott was able to pull through—and even cut the umbilical cord, he said.

Most hospitals will allow at least two people in the delivery room with you to act as emotional or physical support (or both!), SELF explained previously.

Obviously, this is a situation when you want to choose those support people wisely: Stick with those who will keep you calm rather than increasing your stress levels (thank you, Kris), and give people jobs in the delivery room to keep them involved (and, you know, to help). And remember that, above all, what you want should be the priority. For instance, during Khloé Kardashian's delivery, her sister Kim was there to hold her legs.

As Scott learned, after all is said and done, it can be a pretty special event for everyone present. "Going into it, I was nervous and scared just being that we were both young," he said in the new interview. "But when you first have a baby in your arms, it's uncontrollable, it just takes over your whole body. I never thought I could just love something so hard, it's crazy."
