NOW Health News publishes independent health reporting and general wellbeing guidance for an international audience. We aim to make evidence understandable without presenting uncertainty as certainty or general information as personal medical advice.
How we prepare a story
- Identify what readers need to know and choose sources that can answer that question
- Use primary research and authoritative public-health sources where practical, and link to material evidence
- Check names, dates, numbers, quotations and whether a finding shows association or causation
- Explain who was studied, where, how large the study was and what its limitations mean for readers
- Separate independent reporting from advertising and sponsored content
Review and accountability
Our editorial workflow calls for fact-checking before publication. Content with clinically actionable information needs review by a suitably qualified professional. General wellbeing material is not labelled medically reviewed unless that review actually occurred. An editorial byline does not imply that a clinician wrote or approved a piece.
We date articles and correct material errors. Readers can see our fact-checking policy, medical review approach, AI use policy and corrections policy. To raise a concern, contact the editorial team with the article link and supporting information.
