NOW Health News publishes general health reporting and wellbeing information at nowhealthnews.com. This policy explains the information processed through the website and the choices available to visitors.
Information you provide
If you subscribe to the newsletter, the email address you enter is sent to AWeber so the subscription can be managed and emails can be delivered. AWeber processes subscriber information for its customer under its own service and privacy terms. Every newsletter should include an unsubscribe route.
If you contact the editorial team, request a correction or otherwise send information to us, we use the details you provide to respond and to keep an appropriate record of the request. Avoid sending medical records or other sensitive information unless it is necessary.
If comments, user accounts or media uploads are enabled, WordPress may process the information entered, technical details used for security and spam protection, and account or session data. Public comments and profile images can be visible to other visitors.
Information processed automatically
The website and its hosting, security and caching systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, date and time, and error or security events. The site also loads a Google tag through Google Site Kit and uses a consent control for optional analytics and advertising categories.
The newsletter popup uses browser storage to remember whether it has been shown, dismissed or used. The Cookie Policy explains the storage currently identified on the site.
Why information is used
Information is used to operate and secure the website, deliver requested newsletters, respond to enquiries and correction requests, understand site performance where permitted, prevent abuse and meet applicable legal obligations.
Service providers and external links
WordPress and the hosting environment support publication and site operation. AWeber supports newsletter signup and delivery. Google Site Kit and the Google tag support site measurement and related services. External websites have their own privacy practices. See AWeber’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
We do not claim that these providers use information only within the country where a visitor lives. Their policies describe their processing, transfers and available controls.
Retention and choices
Newsletter data is retained while the subscription is active and as needed for suppression, compliance and service records. Editorial correspondence, security logs and WordPress records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose and applicable obligations. Exact provider retention periods may be controlled by the relevant provider.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter, review cookie preferences, clear browser cookies and storage, or use the Contact page to ask about access, correction or deletion. Rights vary by location and may be subject to legal exceptions. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Children, security and changes
The site is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the site, providers or legal requirements change. The review date above shows when this page was last assessed.
